Today, Saint Patrick’s Day Eve, the OREM was at last returned to full service! It came right down to the wire as the service department closed at 6pm. I didn’t drive away from the dealership until 6:15pm, but we were still able to get everything squared away and ready to go for tomorrow’s relaunch of our journey. I just finished my last shower until who knows when, and I’ll definitely be savoring one more night in an actual bed, because with the coming morning’s first pedal stroke things will be different until we reach Florida. No more drive-backs at the end of the day to sleep at mine or The Bob’s abodes, hot showers will become the stuff of dreams, and the OREM and her rooftop tent will be our only shelter on most days. We plan on heading out around 6:30 in the morning on our drive to the day’s starting point in Globe, AZ. That should have us in the saddle and pedaling by 8:45, and from there we’ll see what the terrain and winds have in store for us, which will also determine were on Planet Earth we lay our weary heads and bodies tomorrow night.

Just a note from the recliner after a grungy day in the garden. (Seems like a new title for my garden journal). I’m thinking of those nights in the tower when you told me about your time in the Philippines. (PG version) you can handle the grunge, not too sure about Gary but he is a trooper. It is amazing how much the body can take as long as the mind thinks it is achievable. But then. It is easy for me to say, I am going to take a bubble bath. Love ya Newton, ha-ha!
