Today, Saint Patrick’s Day Eve, the OREM was at last returned to full service! It came right down to the wire as the service department closed at 6pm. I didn’t drive away from the dealership until 6:15pm, but we were still able to get everything squared away and ready to go for tomorrow’s relaunch of our journey. I just finished my last shower until who knows when, and I’ll definitely be savoring one more night in an actual bed, because with the coming morning’s first pedal stroke things will be different until we reach Florida. No more drive-backs at the end of the day to sleep at mine or The Bob’s abodes, hot showers will become the stuff of dreams, and the OREM and her rooftop tent will be our only shelter on most days. We plan on heading out around 6:30 in the morning on our drive to the day’s starting point in Globe, AZ. That should have us in the saddle and pedaling by 8:45, and from there we’ll see what the terrain and winds have in store for us, which will also determine were on Planet Earth we lay our weary heads and bodies tomorrow night.
From this point on, my posts about our adventures will be less frequent, although I plan to write about them each night and then post them in batches when I have access to WIFI or I can use my phone as a hot spot.
Many thanks to all of you who are following along as we meander our way across the continent! I had no idea that there’d be so much interest in what we are attempting, but know that your positive vibes are felt by each of us every day. For those of you I know, I look forward to the day when we’ll meet again to catch up on all the comings and goings in each other’s lives. To those of you I don’t know, but have still chosen to read my ramblings, I already consider you to be a friend, just one I haven’t yet met. And to my friend Zach, know that I’m doing my best to take good care of your Grandpa. I hope to have him home to you sometime in the middle of May, and I look forward to hanging out then with you as well! And last but certainly not least, to the love of my life…I’ll see you in my dreams…
Happy trails and safe travels my friends! Keep OREM outside of the white lines and the wind at your backs. I’ll be following your updates and thinking in envy of your daily activities .

Just a note from the recliner after a grungy day in the garden. (Seems like a new title for my garden journal). I’m thinking of those nights in the tower when you told me about your time in the Philippines. (PG version) you can handle the grunge, not too sure about Gary but he is a trooper. It is amazing how much the body can take as long as the mind thinks it is achievable. But then. It is easy for me to say, I am going to take a bubble bath. Love ya Newton, ha-ha!
